Sound Design: Music and the Art of Foley
Designed by Robert W. Smith to reinforce National Core Arts Standards, orchestra, band, and choir students experience life as working movie musicians performing original underscores, creating Foley effects, and selecting digital sound effects for animated movie scenes. Choose from hits like: Illumination’s The Secret Life of Pets, DreamWorks Trolls, Illumination’s Despicable Me, The Lorax.
Dance is UNIVERSAL!
A Workshop with the Professionals
Choose from one of two paths, The Master Class or The Audition Workshop - each with customizable features led by Universal Orlando Resort’s very own choreographers and performers. These programs are aligned with the National Core Arts Standards for Dance.
STARS
Our performance programs help students in band, orchestra, choir, dance and other groups practice teamwork, refine their showmanship skills, and get a taste of the spotlight.
Marching Experiences
Students can hone their performance skills at Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Superstar Pre-Parade, or - during select days in December - the Holiday parade.
Stage Performances
Moving off the street and onto the stage, we offer students exciting opportunities to perform right in our resort - in front of a live audience at Universal CityWalk.
Disney
Candlelight Processional
Be part of one of the most beloved holiday traditions at Epcot by performing with your high school, college, university, church or community choir in this joyous retelling of the Christmas story with a celebrity narrator and 50-piece orchestra. Afterwards, make even more memories as you reward yourselves by enjoying the magic of our theme parks.
Disney Performing Arts Workshop
Dance
Learn a Disney production number, develop confidence and receive a valuable critique as you discover the importance of your individual contribution to the overall success of the ensemble.
Musical Theater
Get an inside look at the fundamentals of musical theater. Stage material from a Broadway production, learn vocal techniques and discover how to get the most out of your rehearsals/performances.
Choral
Record an excerpt from a Disney animated feature film's soundtrack, learn audition skills, discover vocal techniques and more under the guidance of a professional Disney vocalist.
Instrumental
Sight-read, prepare and record a polished performance of special Disney music selections in a studio environment like a professional musician. For middle/junior high and high school bands and orchestras.
